PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT

WHAT IS PERSONAL DATA?

Personal data refers to any information about an identified or identifiable natural person. An identifiable natural person is someone who can be identified directly or indirectly by an identifier such as a name, identification number, location data, online identifier, or one or more elements characteristic of the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity of that natural person. Data that is anonymized or aggregated so that it can no longer be used to identify a specific natural person, whether in combination with other information or otherwise, is not considered personal data.

WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA WHEN YOU USE OUR SERVICES.

We collect personal data from you and the devices (including mobile devices) you use when you: use our Services, register for an account with us, provide us with information via a web form, update or add information to your account, participate in discussions or resolve disputes, or otherwise communicate with us. Personal data you provide to us when you use our Services or register for an account with us: Identifying data such as your name, addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses when you register for an account with us; Other data you generate or that belongs to your account and your use of the website, applications, services, and tools (such as the use of functionality to place a profile, searches, viewed and saved ad/job/profile or your use of contact options in an ad/job/profile), including pseudonymized information related to calling a phone number shown to you in an ad/job/profile; In some cases, you may be asked to provide your age, gender, interests, and favorites when using our Services; You may also provide us with other information through a web form, by updating your account or adding data to it, through chats, in the context of dispute resolution, or when you otherwise communicate with us about our Services. Additional data, if we are required or authorized to collect and process it under applicable national law to identify or verify your identity, or to verify the data we have collected.

Personal data we automatically collect when you use our Services or register for an account with us: We collect information about your interaction with our Services, your ad/profile preferences, and your communication with us. This data is received from devices (including mobile devices) you use to access our Services. This data may include: device ID or unique identifier, device type, ad/profile ID, and unique device token. Location data, including location data from your mobile device. Note that you can manage or disable the use of location services by an application on your mobile device in the device settings menu. Computer and connection data such as statistics on your page views, traffic to and from the sites, referral URLs, ad/profile data, your IP address, your browsing history, and your weblog data.

Personal data we collect with cookies and similar technologies: We may use cookies, web beacons, unique IDs, and similar technologies to collect data about the pages you view, the links you click on, and other actions you take when using our Services within our ad/job/profile or email content. Personal data collected from other sources:

The personal data we collect directly is supplemented with data we collect from third parties and add to your account information. For example, we collect and use demographic and other data that is publicly available in the applicable jurisdiction, additional contact information, as permitted by applicable national law. Transaction disputes Database. Based on reports, whether through the Police's Internet Fraud Reporting Point, we may process information (including personal data) about certain disputes between users and employers, including storing this data. Social media. We enable you to share data with social media sites or use social media sites to create your account or link your account to the relevant social media site. These social media sites may automatically provide us with access to certain personal data they hold about you (e.g., content you have viewed, content you have 'liked,' information about the ads/profiles shown to you or that you have clicked on, etc.). You control the personal data you allow us to access using the privacy settings on the relevant social media site. By linking an account managed by a social media site to your account, you give us access to this data, which will be processed in accordance with this Privacy Statement. We may also use plugins or other technologies from various social media sites. If you click on a link provided by a social media plugin, you voluntarily connect to that social media site.

MARKETING

If you do not want to receive marketing messages from us, you can opt-out using the link in the email you received or by contacting us via the contact information provided in the 'Contact' section below. ADS/JOBS

If you do not want to participate in our customized ads/jobs programs, you can indicate this by contacting us. We do not allow third parties to track or collect your personal data on our sites for their own ads/job purposes without your consent.

STAYING LOGGED IN

When you log into your account via our Services, we offer you the option to stay logged in for a certain period. If you use a public or shared computer, we recommend not staying logged in. You or another user of the computer/browser you logged into can view and access most of your account and perform certain actions during this login period without further authorization. You or another user of this computer/browser can take the following actions and account actions:

  • Manage your profile
  • View favorites
  • View the profile page
  • Send messages to other members

If you attempt to change your password or username, update other account information, or take other account actions beyond those listed above, you may be asked to enter your password. You can generally end your login session by logging out and/or clearing your cookies. If you have enabled certain privacy settings in your browser, you can also end the login session by closing the browser. If you use a public or shared computer, you should log out and/or clear your cookies when you are finished using our Services to protect your account and personal data.

HOW YOU CAN ACCESS, MANAGE, AND CORRECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA

HOW WE MAY SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

We may disclose your personal data to other Group Companies or third parties. Disclosure may be required to provide you with access to our Services, to comply with our legal obligations, to enforce our Terms of Use, to enable our marketing and ad/job activities, or to prevent, detect, investigate, and mitigate fraudulent or illegal activities related to our Services.     • Providing joint content and services (such as registration, transactions, and customer service)
    • Helping detect, investigate, prevent, and mitigate potentially fraudulent and illegal activities, violations of our Terms of Use, and data security breaches
    • Displaying customized ads/jobs to you
    • Improving their products, sites, applications, services, tools, and marketing communications
  • Employers:
    • If you have shown interest in a Job via the Website or responded to a Job via the Website, to enable further communication and/or the potential job application process related to the job offered in the Job between you and the Employer.
  • Law enforcement agencies, in the context of legal proceedings and as permitted by law
    • To comply with our legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Use, respond to claims that a posted ad/job or other content violates the rights of others, or protect the rights, property, or safety of individuals.
    • To law enforcement or government agencies or authorized third parties in response to a verified request or legal process related to a criminal investigation or alleged or suspected illegal activity or any other activity that exposes us, you, or any of our other users to liability. We disclose only data we deem relevant to the investigation.

INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA

If personal data is shared with or disclosed to parties located outside the European Economic Area, Payper ensures that appropriate measures are taken to safeguard this transfer in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. When sharing personal data with third parties, we first ensure whether an adequacy decision from the European Commission exists, stating that a country, or a sector or region thereof, provides an adequate level of protection, or we enter into the EU-approved model clauses (Standard Contractual Clauses) with this party.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA ON OUR SITES OR IN OUR APPLICATIONS?

Other users have access to the information you share on Payper. For example, other users can see your ads, jobs, feedback, reviews, and associated comments. Other users can also see data you share in your profile.

When you use our Services, your public username may be displayed, be publicly available, and be associated with all your public Payper activity. In notifications sent to other users about suspicious activity and in notifications about violations on our sites, your public username and specific items may be referenced. If you link your name to your username, people you have disclosed your name to may personally identify your Payper activities.

Since you are also enabled to contact an Employer directly on our website, we recommend you think about how you share your personal data with others. You are responsible for the personal data you share via our website, and therefore we cannot guarantee the privacy or security of the data you share with other users.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES REGARDING DATA YOU RECEIVE ON PAYPER

When you interact with another user and/or Employer and obtain their data (such as name, account ID, email address, contact details, and shipping and billing address), you, independently of us, control that data and must comply with applicable laws.

You may only use the personal data you have access to for Payper transactions or for other services offered via Payper (such as shipping, fraud complaints, and communication with other members) and for purposes for which the user to whom the data relates has explicitly consented. Using personal data from other users for any other purpose constitutes a violation of our Terms of Use.

UNWANTED OR THREATENING EMAIL (SPAM)

We do not tolerate misuse of our Website. You do not have permission to add other Payper.nl users to your mailing list (email or post), even if the user has expressly consented to it. If you notice someone misusing our website (spam or spoof emails), please send an email to [...]. If you believe you have discovered a security vulnerability on a Payper-hosted website, please report it with a detailed explanation via [...]. It is not allowed to use our communication tools to send spam or otherwise send content that violates our Terms of Use. For your safety, we automatically scan messages and may manually check them for spam, viruses, phishing, and other malicious activities or illegal or prohibited content. However, we do not permanently store messages sent via these tools.

COMMUNICATION TOOLS

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
